Laponia Lambswool Throw 130x180 cm
Laponia is a throw in 100% lambswool, inspired by the UNESCO World Heritage Site Laponia in Swedish Lapland. The pattern draws on elements from traditional Sámi bands, colours, reindeer and the snow-covered landscape.
The World Heritage Site is a Sámi cultural landscape with traces of settlement and reindeer herding dating back thousands of years. The area includes nine Sámi communities, and these traditions continue to this day. The throw is a quiet tribute to this environment and its culture. A throw to wrap around your shoulders when it turns cool, or to drape over an armchair as part of the interior.
The wool comes from New Zealand and from growers licensed under Wool Integrity NZ™, meaning the sheep are well treated and mulesing is not practised. The throw is woven by Klippan in their OEKO-TEX® certified factory and tested for harmful substances.
- Wool is naturally dirt-repellent and has self-cleaning properties, meaning the throw does not need to be washed unnecessarily. Regular airing is often enough, preferably in damp weather. If needed, the throw can be hand washed with a wool detergent or machine washed on a wool cycle at 30°C. For larger throws, we recommend dry cleaning, as they can become heavy in the machine and risk losing their shape.
