Brunkulla Lambswool Throw 130x170 cm
Brunkulla is a classic throw in 100% fine lambswool, inspired by hand-printed wallpapers and decorative stencil paintings from 18th-century manor houses in the Swedish province of Uppland, including Vallhov Manor and Landsberga Royal Manor. The pattern carries clear traces of historic interiors and traditional craftsmanship.
The name comes from the Brunkulla orchid, one of Sweden’s rarer wild orchids and the official provincial flower of Jämtland in northern Sweden. The result is a throw with a distinct historical character and a strong connection to Swedish cultural heritage. Just as natural to wrap around your shoulders on a cool evening as to drape over an armchair as part of the interior.
The wool comes from New Zealand and from growers licensed under Wool Integrity NZ™, meaning the sheep are well treated and mulesing is not practised. The throw is also OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 certified and tested for harmful substances.
- Wool is naturally dirt-repellent and has self-cleaning properties, meaning the throw does not need to be washed unnecessarily. Regular airing is often enough, preferably in damp weather. If needed, the throw can be hand washed with a wool detergent or machine washed on a wool cycle at 30°C. For larger throws, we recommend dry cleaning, as they can become heavy in the machine and risk losing their shape.
