The privacy policy applies when Skansen provides services and products in connection with purchases, customer service matters, as well as visits to our websites and social media.
The Skansen Foundation is the data controller for Skansen's processing of your personal data and is responsible for ensuring that such processing is carried out in accordance with applicable legislation.
Personal data is any kind of information that can directly or indirectly be attributed to a living individual. Examples of personal data include name, email address, phone number, and social security number. Images and audio recordings are also personal data even if no names are mentioned. The primary source of personal data about you is yourself, for example, information you provide when you shop in our webshops, make a booking, contact us via email, receive/respond to an email newsletter, register for a lecture, and when you donate or sell a museum object to be included in Skansen's museum collections. Personal data is also created as a result of you reading information on our website, using services, and communicating with us. For example, we may save visit, traffic data, and other communication data. These data are collected via so-called cookies and are used to get to know you so that we can direct relevant information to you. To be able to do this, we need your consent. You give that by accepting cookies when you visit our website.

When your personal data is shared with a company that is an independent data controller, the counterparty's privacy policy and data handling practices apply. We share your personal data with certain companies that are independently data controllers. Examples of independent data controllers with whom we share your personal data include: Government authorities in cases of suspected crime, companies that handle general goods transportation (logistics companies and freight forwarders), and companies that offer payment solutions (card acquirers, banks, and other payment service providers).
