Skansen Recrafted – unique cushion covers made from reused textiles
Skansen Recrafted is a collection of handcrafted cushion covers where fabrics with a history are given new life. In collaboration with Skansen’s Costume Department, traditional craftsmanship is combined with a sustainable way of making use of what we already have.

Craftsmanship with history
Every cushion cover in Skansen Recrafted carries a piece of history. The textiles used in the production come from different eras and have previously had other uses in Skansen's operations. With careful hands, these materials, including zippers and buttons, are transformed into unique interior details – all the materials have already been available on site at Skansen.
Sewn by hand by the seamstresses of the Clothing Chamber
The products in Skansen Recrafted are not only sustainable – they are also a result of local craftsmanship at the highest level. The cushion covers are hand-sewn by Klädkammaren's skilled seamstresses, giving each item a unique character and quality. Recycling and local production at its best!

Details that tell a bigger story
With these cushion covers, you can easily create a personal and sustainable interior that reflects your style and values. They fit just as well in a modern home as in a more classic setting, adding both warmth and authenticity to your decor.
Skansen Recrafted is more than just cushion covers – it's a way to give new life to materials with history, while also contributing to a more sustainable future.
