An easy-to-grow favourite for any window! The Pony mini cucumber grows quickly into a lush climbing plant with beautiful leaves that frame the entire window like a green curtain. It also produces plenty of small, sweet cucumbers, perfect to slice onto your breakfast sandwich. It doesn’t get more locally grown than this!
Start the seeds indoors from late February or March when the light returns or grow year-round with a grow light. All you need is a bright window. Tie the plant to a string attached to a curtain rod or above the window, and gently wrap the plant as it grows.
After about 2.5 to 3.5 months, you can start harvesting and enjoying your very own mini cucumbers — straight from the window.
