Dalafloda

Dalafloda is our own brand, inspired by the rich textile tradition from Dala-Floda in Dalarna, Sweden. Our patterns are drawn from the distinctive floral motifs that adorn the jackets of the region’s traditional folk costumes. The traditional embroidery technique, known as påsöm, with its vibrant wool embroidery and floral elements, is a central influence.

We see Dalafloda as a tribute to Swedish cultural heritage and the craftsmanship developed during the late 19th century. The pattern originates from the collections in Skansen’s costume department, where we preserve folk costumes and historical textiles used in our cultural and historical activities.

With Dalafloda, we aim to blend tradition and history with modern function and form, bringing cultural heritage to life in textile products designed for contemporary homes.
