Wooden Box Squirrel
A handcrafted cherry wood box with a delicately carved squirrel on the lid – a subtle and beautiful detail for your desk, bedside table or bookshelf. The hand-whittled surface creates a soft play of shadows that highlights the wood’s natural grain and warm reddish-brown hue.
Inspired by traditional shrink boxes, it’s made entirely of wood – no nails or screws. Instead, the parts are held together by the wood’s own movement as it dries. With its timeless Scandinavian shape, it’s perfect for small treasures like jewellery, keys or other cherished keepsakes.
Each box is made from cherry wood – a living material with unique grain and natural variations. Dark spots may appear and are traces of resin pockets in the wood, giving each piece its own character.
The lid is opened with the help of the little squirrel on top, carefully hand-carved in detail. The surface is treated with wood oil and can be re-oiled as needed.
