Make-up Bag Dalafloda

Skansen’s costume archive preserves a large collection of traditional garments and textiles used in the museum’s cultural and historical work. One of the most well-known and elaborate folk costumes is the one developed in the late 19th century in Dala-Floda, Dalarna. A distinctive feature of this costume is the wool embroidery known as påsöm – a traditional technique from the region, characterised by vibrant floral motifs and richly coloured yarns, typically stitched onto wool fabric.
