- For merino wool, airing is always recommended instead of washing—preferably in humid weather. If washing is needed, use a machine wool program at 30°C with liquid detergent and no fabric softener. Avoid spinning; instead, lay the socks on a flat towel and press out the excess water. Do not tumble dry or use bleach. Lay the wool socks flat to dry. Always store wool products in sealed bags during off-season periods.
