The Dala horse is one of Sweden’s most well-known symbols and has been made by Nils Olsson in Nusnäs, Dalarna, Sweden, since 1928. In the same village where the classic Dala horse first took shape, the craft lives on, and each horse is still carved and painted by hand.
This means that no two horses are exactly alike. Small variations in colour and pattern are a natural part of the process and give each piece its own expression. The white Dala horse is 10 cm tall and fits nicely as a decorative detail in the home, on a shelf, in a window or as part of a collection.
