Skansen's Pottery

Skansen’s pottery workshop is a historic studio where skilled ceramicists create hand-thrown stoneware, which is then fired and glazed on-site. The glazes are developed from scratch through a process of testing, exploring, and refining to achieve their final expression. The result is timeless ceramics, where each glaze and form has its own unique character.

A carefully selected range is now also available in Skansen’s webshop. Here, you’ll find bowls, candle holders, and vases in glazed stoneware – beautiful everyday objects designed to be cherished and used for generations. A fine example of how craftsmanship and cultural heritage come together in objects that carry history into the present.

The pottery workshop has a long history within Swedish ceramics, and each piece in the collection is the result of dedicated craftsmanship and precision. The building has housed a pottery workshop since the late 19th century, and the craft continues to thrive to this day.
