Växbo Lin

Växbo Lin is a Swedish brand that continues the long-standing tradition of linen production in Hälsingland. In the village of Växbo, linen has played a central role for centuries, and since 1990, linen products have been crafted here with great care for both craftsmanship and the environment. The factory is located in historic Trolldalen, on the very site where waterwheel-powered flax processing mills once turned.

What began as a bold initiative by ten local residents has grown into living proof that the Swedish textile industry still has a place – even in a time when much of the production has moved abroad. Since 2006, the company has been run by Hanna and Jacob Bruce, together with their team, guided by a clear philosophy: fewer, but better things.

All production takes place in Sweden – from warp thread to finished product. Here, traditional craftsmanship is combined with modern design and sustainable values. The result is functional items made of linen – a durable natural material that ages beautifully and lasts for generations. By keeping production local, Växbo Lin helps preserve artisanal knowledge, create jobs, and keep the countryside alive.
