Iris Hantverk
Iris Hantverk creates hand-bound brushes crafted according to traditional methods, with a focus on care, quality, and natural materials. The company’s roots stretch back to the late 19th century and share a close connection with the Swedish association for the visually impaired.
The brush workshop is located in Enskede, Stockholm, where skilled visually impaired artisans from various cultural backgrounds bind each brush by hand using age-old techniques. Collaboration also extends to artisans in Estonia, further strengthening the brand’s historical and social heritage.
Products are sold in dedicated stores in Stockholm, through an online shop, and via retailers across Sweden and internationally. Iris Hantverk also supplies raw materials to individual craftspeople throughout the country.
The mission is to preserve and develop the craft of brush binding by combining traditional techniques with functional design and sustainable materials. The goal is to promote the growth of the profession and offer products appreciated for their craftsmanship and quality.
