Almedahls
Almedahls is one of Sweden’s oldest textile companies, with roots dating back to 1846 when Hans H. Wesslau founded a weaving mill just outside Gothenburg. For generations, the company has played a central role in Sweden’s textile industry and remains firmly anchored in the textile heritage of western Sweden.
In its first hundred years, the focus was on woven linen fabrics, but over time the range has expanded and evolved – always with Nordic heritage as its foundation. Many of the patterns still in production today were created during the 20th century and have become classics in Swedish design history.
Almedahls carries out an ambitious sustainability program through the Five Zero Green initiative. With CO₂-neutral production, OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 certified textiles, and a top rating from EcoVadis, Almedahls takes responsibility for the entire process – from renewable energy and reduced waste to conscious material choices.
The journey from a small dyehouse to a leading provider of textile solutions reflects the company’s long-standing commitment to quality, innovation, and social responsibility.
